I herewith introduce you the data of "Japan Video Topics"(JVT) produced by our Foreign Ministry. JVT has 305 videos of introducing Japan for foreigners in all.
Although each piece shows footage of only about 4 minites long, I believe contents are satisfactory enough to show you the situation of the captioned topic, and so I personally made this paper to try to enlarge audience who might be good friends of our country. It will be very regrettable "mottainai" for every one concerned if would-be fans of Japan lose chances to come across this kind of data.
When I visited the site of the ministry, I thought it would be more convenient if there is a simple list which can show us the total idea of what we can expect to know through those videos. So, I just picked up a few items for this page, that is, a title, uploaded date, length(min.:sec.), category(please see the remark (2) hereunder) and other data, that is, places concerned and so on.
If necessary, you can see the map of Japan to find where the relative prefecture is. Our country consists of 47 prefectures, from north (1)Hokkaido to south (47)Okinawa: http://matsumoto.news.coocan.jp/copy_japan/map_japan_ftz&eng.htm

Besides this page in English, I wrote the same thing in Japanese (jvt-all_jap_pre_231007.htm) and in Chinese (jvt-all_han_pre_231007.htm), but I knew from their site that there are several other versions of language, that is, French, Spanish and Arabic etc.
You can select any language from the selection part of top page freely. Please try if necessary.

Remarks：please note followings before visiting the site of the Ministry;
(1)The numbers No.1～305 are just what I put on for my convenience. There are no numbers in the original site.
(2)The producers separate 305pcs of videos into 6 categories as follows. This is just for your information；
1)Culture 75pcs, 2)Food 33pcs, 3)Life(-style) 52pcs, 4)Sports 17pcs, 5)Tech(-nology) 68pcs, 6)Travel 58pcs
(3)I made this list with the same order with the original site, piling up from the bottom, that means the newer the upper.
(4)For each video they introduce the photograph and the "Summary". When you watch the video by Youtube, you find "Summary" again under the screen of Youtube. You have a chance to read "Summary" twice, but when by MP4, first chance only.
(5)Besides vocal narration, you can see the caption of same contents on the screen, too, as to some of newest videos of Japanese and English versions. (Chinese version has vocal narration only as before.)
(6)Most of the videos are supplied both by Youtube and MP4 but some oldest ones are MP4 only.
(7)If you register your mail address to the Ministry, you will receive their information of uploading new videos.
How to register; you find the item "Link Us" in the last part of their site. Clicking it, you will be in their mother site“Web Japan”and find the item“What's New Mail Service”from which you can proceed to register your mail address.
(8)As you see in the following list, as to the video of No.47 in the Chinese version, there is a critical error of the name of place.
It shoud be“萩市=Hagi City”in Yamaguchi prefecture and not“荻市=Ogi City”.
